I constructed a small wildlife pond in my garden. I know from experience that any water feature will attract wildlife. That is, apart from mine. I might see the odd insect hovering over the water but that's it. Perhaps there is life lurking at the bottom.

I'm sure there will be an abundance of life lurking in the depths. Birds will use the water for drinking and bathing too.

We had a pond in one house with lily pads. When the tadpoles hatched my dream of seeing a frog on a lily pad came true. It was tiny but unmistakably Frog!

Good lord! I am, as you know, so envious of your frogs. I will be too late this year if I ever finish my pond, but will be willing the year away in hope of a frog influx just like this next year. What absolute delight!

You may have missed the frenzy part but they will still have a dip if they are hot in the summer.

A frog convention?! How lovely for you to see them so close and to hear them. I'm not sure if we have frogs or not. We live by a river, and don't frogs need still water? I can't imagine them in the river's current. But then, I'm not really up on what frogs need. I remember a small boy showing me his frog, and it jumped unexpectedly, causing me to squeak. "It's OK, " he said in his 6 year old innocence, "they don't bite!"

No they don’t bite but they can be a bit unpredictable 😁 Watch out for part two, I have good news 😊

I do not have a pond, but I've always wanted to build one. Now you've told me how... another project added to my list. Thanks for this, Daisy.
