Connecting through Nature
Hello fellow nature lovers. Thank you for taking the time to be here. I hope we are going to have a wonderful time together, exploring all that this amazing planet has to offer. I will be examining how to survive and thrive using the natural world as our guide. I will be looking at ways in which we can foster a natural practice for self-care, paying attention to how to use nature to nurture ourselves throughout the seasons.
I am curious! Why do some of us find solace in nature and turn to it to soothe and heal our soul, when others are oblivious to its spectacle?
“Rainbow, what rainbow?”
Nature has always been there for me, presenting an opportunity for me to escape from my chaotic, childhood life. I turned to the blackbirds who visited our impoverished back garden and felt honoured they had chosen to land there. I marveled at the intricate construction of a dandelion clock and the engineered genius of the spider’s web. We had a large Lilac bush with the most heady of fragrances and a tiny patch of English bluebells whose form, colour and sense of community helped me drift into a world of stunning beauty and unassuming elegance. This was my playground and now as an adult, nature still makes my heart sing!

I have binoculars now and a macro lens on my camera which allows me to observe the natural world in more detail - pure bliss! I love sharing my world with the abundance of life that surrounds my home and the environment nearby.
The blackbird and the wren,
Sweet melodies you sing to me.
Thank you, my dear friends.
Join me to uncover how our lives can be transformed when we trust the power that nature has to offer.
I am looking forward to connecting with you. Dx
I sooo miss living by the sea. I’m lucky enough to have a decent size garden in deepest suburbia with 2 mature oaks, a horse chestnut and a silver birch plus lots of shrubs. My approach to gardening is so what’s right for the wildlife, and we have a lot of birds and beasts visiting our patch. My bigger wild space is Windsor Great Park or if i need wilder places I drive down towards Avebury
Nature is my happy place too.
