It’s so strange, I cannot remember this Volkswagen. I surely remember the bus (magic) from growing up in the 60’s. My good friend who passed way too young, loved her bug. It very cool and convertible. Thank you for this fun read hun. Oh the memories…

They make great memory makers for sure. She was made in 1971 and is classed as an Early Bay.

It looks like a big yellow pet! One that you keep in a cage (the garage)! What a darling thing it is. So much style!

Lovely to meet Maisy :) look forward to reading more about her and your travels. I haven't been camping for several years and miss it. It was always worth it regardless of weather, amenities and so on. Our most dramatic episode was when our 4 person tent got caught in a gale as we were putting it up at Beadnell (Northumberland coast) and it flew over the road, via barbed wire and onto the beach. Luckily we caught it but it needed gaffer tape to keep it together.

Oh that's quite a dramatic and traumatic experience. Glad the gaffer tape worked. It's just taken us nearly two hours to put up the awning, it was all twisted for some reason and we couldn't work out which bit belonged to where!! šŸ¤” Having a G and T to recover! šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ’›šŸ‹
